Global warming and climate change may increase heavy rain and flood disasters. Although such serious disasters are expected to increase in the future, they will surely not decrease. For this disaster prevention and reduction, both hard and soft measures are necessary. In addition to that, disaster prevention education from the perspective of human science is needed and effective as well. In this presentation, I will introduce the disaster prevention training workshop, especially “Crossroad” and “My TimeLine”, at elementary and junior high schools in Japan and report on its educational effect for the children. In addition to that, last August I tried to conduct “Crossroad” for Vietnamese secondary school students near Xuan Thuy national park with some graduate students of Ibaraki University and Vietnam Japan University. I will also report the reactions of them.
